The only congruence this has with reality is that there's glass and coinage involved somehow.

Very nicely put, indeed. However, the other reality inherent in this situation is summed up as, "There's a sucker born every minute."

And the gold coin so convincingly placed on the outside of the pile, on edge, facing outwards. Not in any way obstructed by the paper money or the pile of junk coins... this is so obviously a cooked-up setup.

$2500!
Personally, if I'm investing even $25 into my collection, I want to know exactly what I'm buying.
Granted these people are taking a gamble, as I will do once in a while myself, but not with that kind of money. There are much safer bets out there. These odds are soooo staked against you.

$2,650 as of now, and it still has 3½ days to run.

Might it top $5K when all is said & done? Does anyone care to venture an estimate as to minimum/maximum value based upon what's visible/disclosed?

Might as well burn $100 bills to light up your cigars.

The scam is always the same. ebay should kill this item if they don't want to be a "Craiglist dustbin".

Great marketing effort . The ebay winners handle is going to be "suckered" or " Kingofwishfulthinking". I cannot believe people still go for this pitch!

If that Confederate $500 note is genuine and undamaged, should be $300+, methinks.
