One day left till "Sneak Peak". Interesting, how many pages of guesses both forum will generate ?

As I no longer can modify the original post, I'll start a new one.
Part III It seems to be that using the old effigies of our monarchs was quite a success for RCM, so they decided to continue developing this goldmine: $10 coin with the effigy of the young Quin Elizabeth II. 5c gold plated coin with the effigy of the King George V. I believe this gonna be a hit!
There are couple of more coins, but I don't see anything special about them. The end.

Just a guess at Sneak Peak....BoC was holding 30,000 High Grade Silver Dollars in their vault from each and every year they were made and will be offering a free canoe to whoever orders the entire subscription. Of course the Mint will be selling the coins for BOC just like the Gold coins.

The design of 5c coin matches the design of Imperial Crowned Portrait, 22 Leaves, 1911 - 1921. However, the price tag could spoil it as I don't know if this coin is made of silver or platinum.

Six coin 1/2 oz silver "Canoe across Canada" series with a red canoe shaped display case.
Looks pretty good although I don't know the mintage or if the display is wooden or plastic.

It's replacing the O' Canada series so expect high mintage (30-40k ish). They also raised the price. The 6 coins are $44.95 each - up from $39.95 each for the O' Canada. I guess the 'free case' is worth about 30 dollars. I sure hope that canoe is not made of pressed cardboard.

I am told that the mintage is 20,000 and the canoe display is made of resin.

Wanted to post another guess and just saw the mail.
Like CC-Ottawa said, I do not think that the case will be wooden. Good way to avoid "case speculation" - will be sent with 6-th coin.
Leaving the case to the coins: not bad design at all, Canadiana, but....what for to have this series? What it actually represents? Paid attention, that the amount of maple leafs is 13. Could be it turn-off for not a few people?

Hi folks! A Happy belated New Year to you all!
Well, well well... "The Sneak Peak" turns out to have been a typo after all, and the Peek is somewhat of a let down for me, although my expectations were not very high.
The mint claims: "We listened!" with this subscription. Hmmmm. "...The unique canoe shaped display case is exclusive to subscription orders and will be shipping with the last and final coin in the subscription..."
As CC says, there is no information included in the email as to mintage, including number of coins and number of subscriptions.
To my old eyes, I'm pretty certain the canoe case is made of plastic (probably made in one of the top canoeing nations in the world, China).
So for CDN $270 we get six overpriced 1/2 ounce silver coins (three designs unknown) and a toy canoe. (I wonder if it would float in the bath tub.)
On the positive side, the designs might be good, and nobody paddles wooden canoes anymore.
And I'm sure glad the mint "listened"!

Well I always thought getting the case on the second coin was not the best thing to do "if" you wanted people "Not" to cancel their subs , moving it to the last coin is smart in that respect. But now you will have a bunch of singles waiting for a case , oh well cant please em all.

You right, MTS, can not afford to spend $1000-$2000 on single coin. I turned to the "smart collecting" path and looking for low quantity (not the mintage, but the "choosen") and reasonable priced.
Btw, never seen "gold plated" platinum. You know, it might be 5oz silver (if doesn't listed as 38 or 40mm), and in this case will be less attractive to me and priced too high.
