Um, 7 consecutive coins posted by the same person? Am I the only one who thinks this is getting just a little excessive? Israel, 10 new sheqalim, 1996 Now you know - it's not spelled "shekel" but "sheqel". All of Israel's coins have designs that are inspired by ancient coins from Judea. I think that's not a bad idea - there are so many nice old coins, so it's always good to see those designs re-imagined.

1996 and 1995 the mint made more commemorative coins then most collectors wanted. This caused some very low mintages, mostly with the uncirculated versions. With the Atlanta Olympic coins being the lowest of the modern silver dollar commemoratives. 1996D Smithsonian Institution 150th Anniversary (UNC) Mintage 31,320 1996S National Community Service (UNC) Mintage 23,500

1995 Canadian 1-cent coin, struck on a two-dollar core... "But wait!" you say, "Canadian two dollar coins were introduced in 1996?"The Royal Canadian Mint started production of the 1996 Two-dollar coins in November of 1995, for an early 1996 roll-out. A few of the cores were struck by 1-cent dies in late 1995... Graded by PCGS as MS-66: http://www.pcgs.com/SetRegistry/coi...825215&sid=0

My 1995 contribution is another fencing coin! This one is from Hungary to commemorate the Atlanta Olympics.
