@pepactonius, it looks to me like both the initial number 1 and the gothic 5 are doubled. Great coin!

Great coin @giljan! I think that it can be attributed as Levinson IV-64. You may not know that I have set up a separate thread for these early (1500 AD and before) dated European coins here: http://goccf.com/t/269713&whichpage=8It would be super-cool if you also posted your coin there! I have already posted my example of this coin, but our two coins have a slight variation in the inscription.

Well ok as with the prior two versions of this thread, we seem to slow down a little once we hit the 1400s. Unfortunately, I see this thread grinding to stop with its brothers in a less than a decade. However, I can push us back a year with this Stuiver from the Netherlands County of Holland. It is dated 1499 AD and is attributed as Levinson III-271a. You can see the date in the rev inscription as 1&99.

Duchy of Brabant -- 1498 double briquet / toison d'argent (Levinson II-141, Frey 479): This is my last coin for this thread. I'll just be a spectator from now on, as we move backwards to 1492 and perhaps beyond.

Quote: what is the actual size? It's somewhat larger in diameter than a modern US quarter. It's thin, though, so it only weight 3.4 grams (according to Levinson), much less than the 6.25 grams for a silver quarter.

I thought I would come in to see 1497. I suppose I have to wait a bit longer.
