Not too keen on the artists rendition of the Cardinal in the Songbirds series in the e-mail today. Hope the coin is nicer, the mint has been previously plagued with poor printing problems. Holy alliteration Batman.

Yeah sometimes a gamble going on the mints depiction. I like the theme and that it's in silver. I wished the Birds of Canada were in silver. I'm only missing the 3 most expensive ones. It may be a long while before those get added. Every time the
silver ones beckon to me I pull out my cupronickel beauties. I don't have the cardinal though. Maybe someone will post pics if they buy one and I can enjoy it. I wonder how the series will do? Timing seems bad with the number of people saying they're cutting back on purchases. I adore the chickadee with the cranberries that came out in nov.2014. Highly overpriced in my opinion. I do like the songbird theme, just not enough at current prices.

Wow, I just reread the thread payment plans, that is interesting! I do wonder how far they will take it. I'm waiting to see photos of the songbird coins! Hey Lost, it will be interesting to hear your Rep's reply. I wonder if he will acknowledge the offer lol. I see plenty of temptation in what's released so far. The songbirds, singing masks, and the Franklin Carmichael set. However, the year is only a quarter way through. I see 1 glass turtle sold for $250. Maybe there's still interest out there. Too bad I have so many great Nclt, no real need for more.

No Replies... hehehe.... I should of point out that at $200, the mint is still potentially making $50. That's a lot more than what I can make from many of their coins

Shopaholic:

Thank you for directing me to the press release. :)

I don't have a rep, and this was information wasn't included in my MC email. So thanks. Very helpful.

Now it's decision time. Do I get them? hahaha wish they came in a nice wooden box.

Limited mintage coins worldwide, do not miss:

The Coin Shoppe brough to us the following:

This one would be my favorite, if I liked such type of the coins.

2012 1 oz $2 Fiji Fine Silver Coin - New Zealand "Black Taku Turtle" - Ruthenium Finish

Mintage : 200 (!)

yes, this is the 2011-2012 "Fiji Taku" - the first and original.

2014 1 oz $5 Fine Silver Coin - Canadian "Burning Maple Leaf" Ruthenium Finish

aka ""Hunger Games Edition" - imo, very tasteless flames

thanks for update, Yingyang.

This was fast.
As far as I saw - some people from the other site very liked the coin and organized a group buy. So might be some one grabbed also these (from The Coin Shoppe).

The Coin Shoppe only had 9 pcs Burning Maple available to sell with good selling price.

CAD$96 each (CAD$120 x 20% off)

I ordered 2 pcs from Justfishing's GB.

Mint has cleared one position in "$20 for $20" section. It means that next coin in this series will be introduced in a few days.

Has anyone got in hand pics of the burning maple? I have a sort of pull me pull you reaction. First of I really liked it, after looking at it for awhile there's something I don't like, I can't put my finger on it. I usually like most of the enhanced bullion. This one I'm 50 / 50 on, and can't explain why. I think it's something with the maple leaf. I really liked the first enigma coin. I think the mints are going overboard with all these enhanced bullion. I love the original enhanced Canadian wildlife series. Now it's just gotten out of hand. There's just too much on the market to deal with!!
A little spice is nice, but not the everyday or the whole blood bottle.

It seems when something new is tried and successful them it's applied to everything. Bottom line the world mints are pumping out too much. All in an attempt to catch the collecting $.

Pocket change, this burning maple leaf is NOT an RCM issue product. This was a third party who bought them, and then enhanced it.
