Quote: BTW, the Big Coins series is even lower at 1500 mintage and still available at issue price. that's true, but Big Coins is $3000+ set, while piece of art "Masks" is $300+ set. Except this, what are "Big Coins" - replicas of the circulation coins, and the circulation coins worth melt or face value.

In 2014, I collected the RCM's $1, $5 and $10 silver coins commemorating WWI. As the US was not releasing any coins to mark the start of the war, I looked to the Canadian coins to be somewhat of a proxy for me. I was hopeful that they would continue to use the lower denominations for releases in 2015 (and beyond). The three 2014 releases were all sold at a reasonable price point (to me) and made it easy for me to make the purchase decision. Modern NCLT is not the focus of my overall collection, however, so I definitely look to limit my expenditures so that it doesn't impact my other pursuits. Looking at the first batch of 2015 WWI releases, all I see are $20 coins with and without selective gold plating. At this point, I'm leaning away from purchasing the new coins at prices between $90 and $110 each. In a couple of days, when I see the designs, I may like them very much and change my mind - but it's going to take something special for me to do so. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and later this year the RCM will release a lower denomination WWI coin and make my buying decision an easier one!

Are you sure, Commems, about 2014 WWII SD (and not WWI)?
I remember for 2014 it was 1/2oz silver $10 coin with D-Day. My expectation for the "Victory" Dollar.

The big coin sets have not been embraced. - and that has to have bewildered Bromberg who I believe had presented the concept to the RCM. Super low mintage...and very well presented replicas...yet sales flat... Then you have the singing moon masks which have done very well in presales and likely to sell out very quickly...despite double the mintage of the big coins. Is it simply price causing the non-movement with the big coins. Singing masks look awesome... And I've held in hand the big coin quarter...looks fantastic...yet still available at issue everywhere... On the singing moon masks...I see this set really having a broader appeal than past native art coins...the design is quite impressive... Gotta compliment RCM for taking chances with native art despite some flat sales with previous releases - this set with various finishes and a heck of a original (not replicated) design will renew interest in native art numismatic product.

agree, Electrum RCM issued a nice set (Big Coins), I believe, people thought to get them, might be one - two. But after, they issuing the cons, that not less nice (The Masks - for me), so of cause I'll drop the idea to spend $550 for a single coin (I planned to get 2), and will spend $350 on the Masks, that bit more unique. Same people said previously - too many released and will be released = every item stuck.

**50c roll announced - the roll paper has different from previous years colour, and "purchase limit of 3" from the beginning. (taking in account grown interest to these rolls, might we assume that every 19-th coin in the roll mistakenly plated with silver or platinum?)
**the WWI and WWII subscriptions** - are good, last for years, and although it not mentioned, might be include also the boxes. I do not think, that many people will order these subs, probably some individual coins (like V-day in 2020, but those who collects the 'war' theme - will be pleased.
**8 slots wooden box for 38mm coins** - comes with "Forests of Canada" sub, looks like the box is the best item in this sub, interesting, with which coin it will be shipped.
**1/2 kg silver coin** just amazing....as the previous one

No mention of the 5 Cent Legacy of the Canadian Nickel Coin # 2 from the Subscription.
Was hoping to see what it looked like......

Don't worry about the second 5 cent coin. It's coming.
