Quote: Did I miss something on the email from my MC rep? I did not see anything about the 5cent coin? For this subscription, RCM does not sell individual 5c coins, that's why hasn't been included in the lists of new items. Also liked the "First nations Art" coin, if not Masks set - would be buying it.

Quote: **50c roll announced - the roll paper has different from previous years colour, and "purchase limit of 3" from the beginning. (taking in account grown interest to these rolls, might we assume that every 19-th coin in the roll mistakenly plated with silver or platinum?) I will order 3 rolls, I do every year although I don't know why , they don't increase in value lol. If the Mint was smart they would definitely seed some rolls with "special" coins to bring back some demand for RCM stuff Only problem is , everyone would be opening the rolls to look for the coins. Maybe have a low mintage 50 cent roll with rare coins on the ends with a mintage of 2000 or some such. There are many ways to put a spark back into RCM coins if they would just use their imagination.

Yes, they do not increase. The demand is stable, dealers (CA for example) sometimes might give up to 20% discount, for some bundle with this rolls. Some good idea for RCM:Sell the roll in colourfull paper (like it now), insert it into nicely done container (with clear one side and Coat of Arms on other side), and into the container's cup insert capsule with gold plated 50c coin. Reduce the mintage in 5.000 and sell for $5 more. Also bought 3 of them once. One gave to the friend from abroad (he selected it over some NCLT cause the roll according his words "real money and doesn't looks like jewelry"). But 1 is enough.

Subscriptions subscriptions...and subscriptions... Hey...its for your convenience...
Lots of nice stuff... Silveroid...yes, very nice single native art coin...great colour.
Commems: you may wish to have a sit down with your local bank manager and arrange for a new line of credit...tons of goodies for Canadian history lovers...
I really like the initial Canadian Homefront design...Transcontinental railway...yeah, I know what you're thinking...yet another train...but this one is the coolest - with a map in the background with the train lines...and decent mintage 7500.
I still need time to digest this very large batch...and will reserve judgement other stuff and on the Battlefront series...
Lukewarm about the 5 oz hologram... and I can say with confidence I am permafrosted on the Flowering Forest series...

um.. no one mention about the songbirds subscription. It comes with Paper box... what a cheapo. The only good thing about the paper box is that you can see all 5 birds that will feature in this this series

For the 50 cent rolls, when they state the mintage as 25000 is that rolls or coins?
If it is coins that would be 25*25000=625000?
If it is rolls that makes the number of rolls only 1000.

@Electrum: Thanks for thinking of me! I agree, there is plenty for the history buff to enjoy within the latest RCM release. Personally, however, I'm not looking to begin one or more subscriptions related to WWI or WWII (however important the events or attractive the designs). One or two standalone coins during each of the anniversary years would be OK, but I'm not going to bite on yearly 8- or 10-coin subscriptions. Looks like a pass for me on the March release.

Blah not much there that interests me, even the 50 cent roll is high mintage , don't think I will bother this year getting any. I really like the 5oz Silver Hologram Maples 1500 mintage but at $520 eh probably will pass on it.

Btw, received some tubes (with red cup) from air-tite, cut the top of it and inserted the roll....not perfect fit (like with Penny rolls) but looks not bad at all. RCM should do only 1 thing, to make them more desirable: just stick or print serial number xxxxx/25000 that's all.

The only interest I have in this release is the Singing Moon Masks. So glad artist Glen Loates didn't design another Cougar - 1/2kg Ag and Au Growling Cougar by Pierre Leduc. I personally does not like Glen Loates's Cougar designs. His cougar designs does not translate well on solid mediums such as coins. Either that or cougars are his weakness. Awful looking cougars... Was looking forward to 1kg Ag "In the Eyes of the Cougar" after the wonderful Snowy Owl. Epic disappointment when I saw the coin. Glen Loates ruined it for me. He slaughtered the collection.
