I like the $25 for $25 appearance and as a continuation to the collection but this just looks strange with the flag offset -going to pass on it

I was on the fence about this coin but I agree with lucv13 on this one, I already got the 25 for 25 coin so I think I will also pass.

Mintage is 15,000. It can't sell out this quick... especially since lots of folks here didn't even order it

It possible, Lostwords.
Take in account that many of these probably went to dealers and CP. Not hit, but might be popular item.

I doubt it's sold out, but I guess it was popular enough for the RCM to exhaust its initial production run.

I was hoping CP would do stamp and coin set like they did with the ghost series

with 15000 mintage its definitely not sold out just on the Mints web site, maybe they had 2000 coins allotment maybe 1000 who knows., dealers most likely will get the loin share of them. I didn't even buy any, should be able to pick some up at issue price from some dealers when they go live without any trouble.

I think we all know that a sell out on the Mint website is just that. Of course, it doesn't mean the secondary market (dealers etc.) is sold out.
However, if the Mint sold out in 4 days that is significant.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'go live'. Dealers are already selling them and some have purchase limits. Again, another indication that supply is being out paced by demand, notwithstanding that some CCF members didn't buy them.

Not everyone knows that. 15000 mintage is high , and just because some dealers have restrictions doesn't necessarily mean anything either, since they have a limited amount to sell until the next batch of coins is ready , but ya there is some interest in these coins because of the price mainly. Still nothing to get too excited over with such high of a mintage. Plus restricting orders to 2 or 3 is the oldest trick in the book to make a perceived scarcity of something. I remember C/A did the same thing with the Buffalo $100 for $100 with a 50k mintage/ then after all the hipe died down there was no limit...blah

This is not a relatively high mintage. Go to the Sold Out section of the mint website and see the mintages of the sellouts, most are in the 5,000 to 10,000 range but some are higher. Remember the SML Eagle silver bullion coin, sold out, 1,000,000. Three 20for20 Coins sold out last year (Bobcat, Snowman, Summertime) at 200,000+ mintages. I think because it is a coloured flag coin in proof that is affordable, it is desirable and therefore in demand. There are more buyers out there than just the CCF members. CCF members saying they won't be buying this coin does not mean anything, we are a small sample of the current market, numismatic, giftware, international. Remember it is a global market. The quality of proof RCM coins is good, mirror finish and frosted legends, this one with a double date and 3 dollar denomination is neat. The obverse with mirror finish and frosted legends and Queen's portrait will be nice. I ordered this coin when it came out, happy I did.

Very true, sometimes it seems as if this is forgotten. I also ordered. Hopefully, when the coin comes, I'll be happy with it. Whether or not it sells out doesn't matter to me, I liked the different design approach it took (vs. flags waving in the wind) and so I ordered. It should exhibit well with my three SDs.

You will have the full on flag display Commems.
I have the 25 for 25, the Proof SD and the subject. I hope the colour is applied well to this $3 coin.

All I was saying is don't be fooled by an early so called "Sell out" on the mint site and 15 k is a still lot of coins I don't care how you rationalize it. So far the dealers have it for issue with no extra markup ,if the coin was truly hard to get some dealers would have it priced above issue already but its not. But ya the price is right so it could have potential going forward.
