Over on the US forum, there is currently a topic about who has ever pulled a 1950D nickel from circulation. This got me thinking about the low mintage 1991 Canadian quarter. When was the last time, if ever, you found one of these in circulation, and how did you come by it? For me, I only ever got one. It was back in 2001 and I got it out of the lock-up box of a shopping cart at my local mall. Looking forward to hearing the stories!

I have found 2 now both around 2000 - 2002 one from a laundry mat and the other I can't remember where I got it but I think it might have been at the Vancouver airport and both probably in EF condition hard coin to find in circulation probably a rarity in its own

Got one in a roll hunt 2 years ago from local bank looks like a good AU but this after I purchased one off ebay and ended up with another one in a mint set from online auction so now have three of em. I haven't found any in the wild since seems to be a scarce one

I recall finding several in about 1999 - 2000 roll hunting. Then I sold them on ebay so I could buy other things... These days I usually "speed hunt" through quarter rolls and haven't bothered to look for them. lol

I have never found one but I bought one in a made up set for my daughter because its her birth year. I've seen some circulated au ones at shows offered for about 15-20$.

Went through close to $1000 in quarters roll hunting in 2013 looking to fill that last spot in my Whitman book. Never ended up coming across a 1991 so I ended up buying one (was able to find an old silver Chinese coin from the early 20's though). I was born in 1991 and my moms work used to give out uncirculated sets to all the new parents each year. I found out about this last year when I was going through an old box of stuff in the basement and came across the set. Never even knew I had it!
