Dang it, I just realized my album has no Reagan holes (and why would it?). Ah, life's little problems.

There should be holes though. Unmarked, but still there. What brand is it?
All of the Dansco albums are labeled up to and including George W. Bush.

I stand corrected. I went back and double checked and my Whitman Classic does indeed have labeled holes for Reagan AND for Carter. I must have just looked too quickly. I retract my

First of all, any image of Reagan has to show him on the right side. We can't have him immortalized forever on a coin and shown on the left !!

I don't think any of them do him justice, but if I had to pick one it would be #1. Quote: Your serious, Carter isn't getting one cause he's still alive? Thats crazy. I think it's a good policy. Living people on coins and currency is associated with dictatorships. It's best to keep the politicians from having a free way to promote themselves. I think it would be best to not have actual people on coins. Love Reagan, but can't stand the thought of Obama ever being on a coin. I don't even particularly like looking at Roosevelt dimes. Others might have the exact opposite view. It would be best if we had concepts like lady liberty on coins. Then everyone should in theory be able to like all the coins, but I'm afraid that some people wouldn't get it.

I generally agree. However, these are Presidential dollars. That being said, I really have no problem if Carter gets his dollar. He is well past the time in his life where it would give him any political or societal advantage. I would even go so far as to allow the others to have theirs when the become octogenarians. The death requirement for this particular series seems rather morbid. As for the regular issues, we totally need to get Liberty back on the obverse.

#3 is the best.
#1 is just, his mouth area is a bit messed up.

Well, it's #1 whether we like it or not.
I'm ok with it. I liked #7 just because of the impish grin (even though it looks like a Madame Troussard's wax figure), but we get what we get.

Didn't they announce today that they chose #1 or #3 (same image, just different sizes)? All the others seem terrible.
