Some better pics. The marks on the obverse are on the plastic capsule.

Hsn will have them listed tomorrow at noon Mike said. Anacs70 for the crazy collectors that must have a supposed perfect coin? Who cares if it has a small imperfection that you have to use a loop to see it. That's just weird to me. Just get a nice example of the coin that's it. As long as it doesn't have like a huge scratch on it it's fine with me.

Silvertowne, AKA "The Coin Vault" on satellite TV is offering preorder NGC sp-70 specimens for $399.98 and OGP for $299.98. There are too many great classic coins out there for sale in this price range to make it an attractive purchase (for me) at this point. I was turned off by the issue price for a tenth OZ. of new gold to begin with.
But who knows? This could be a better investment in the long run than the silver buffalo dollar commemorative given the classic design popularity.

Great pics but I would never attempt to grade a coin unless the coin pic was taken with the coin out of the capsule

Quote:What a joke guys. The U.S. mint is better at spin than a politician. No full bands because today's technology won't allow it. Give me a break! Not the same diameter because "we wanted to save money" Give me another break! Nothing but paper pushing excuses!... http://news.coinupdate.com/2016-w-g...t-exclusive/ Interesting Q and A section. I can see why they wanted to use the existing planchets (being lazy), but it is not like they needed to use them; the AGE program is still going strong.

Yes the Q&A was interesting. The first two answers were lies (or ignorance on the part of the person answering) the third was possibly true but I doubt it (the surfaces don't look like the result of a wire brushed die), ad the last one was probably true.
