I've seen different rim marks on coins that people remove from a good luck holder on a coin. It is worth more in the holder than removed. Why, the rim gets distorted when you remove it or is already distorted when put into the holder. So leave them in. Otherwise it becomes a cull Cent when removed. But I believe the answer on the above coin is the correct assumption.
