I have no explanation for it given the seller's usual offerings and record. This is a $5000+ coin if real. I don't trust the denticles at all - they're too strong - but the pics are too small for much.

Looks too shiny. If it is real it's been whizzed. The pics are probably small for a reason. The seller probably doesn't want you to get a good look at it.

Way too shiny! Looks like it was made yesterday. Also, why isn't a coin of that value slabbed?  . Red flag. Let's not forget the obvious, $500 or best offer for a $5000 coin! |

Details look pretty accurate to me; if it's a fake it's a deceptive one, at least in these photos. As a reeded edge type the strong denticles are not a red flag IMO. It may well be whizzed and/or polished to produce that glaring shine.
With these surfaces I can't see it as an original Unc, in which case it might be valued as an "altered surface" slider. With a PCGS retail price of $1200 for a certified problem-free MS-60, the opening bid of $500 might actually be a realistic net-grade price.

The luster looks completely wrong, and I see hairlines in the fields. I say real, but harshly whizzed.

Definitely a real, but, harshly whizzed AU details coin. Probably worth about $150.
