I picked this up as AU+ which I am thinking AU 58 and happy to add it as it appears to be a tougher date to find in nice shape.

Did the seller actually label that "MS5something?"

The lighting makes the surfaces look worse than they actually are, I think, so we probably shouldn't judge based on the one set. Circulation is obvious, though, and I'm seeing it more in the AU53-55 zone.

If it's not cleaned, I'll eat my sock. It's totally the wrong color for a low-AU coin. These branch-mint mid-20s issues are quite scarce in XF-AU with original surfaces.
Rest in Peace

I shot those at 10 mega pix with low outside lighting .. if it's cleaned I don't know if I want to keep it as I can't remove it if I want to send it back. how much value is lost going from AU 55 to AU 55 details ?

Looks like traces of cleaning in the fields of the obverse. The coloration says that it was improperly dipped at the very least - it appears to have the flat dullness of an over-dipped coin, and being circulated, it shouldn't have been dipped at all.

Overall, I'm going to go with AU details.

Don't take a seller's grading too seriously, especially when they refer to a coin as "MS58"!
