What is this coin? 1982 was the first year of Queen Beatrix's coins so I thought it might have something to do with that but I can't see it listed. It is the same size as the 5 gulden which came out in 1987. Is it even a coin at all or some sort of token?

Looks like a commemorative token from the Dutch Mint.

It's a Dutch Mint Set token. The token carries the date of that year's set.

It's common for Dutch mint sets to have that token. The 1982, 1983 and 1986 examples shown here have that:

Even the Net. Antilles mint set has it coz their coins were minted in the Netherlands:

Someone who likes maths put those sets together.. with the rows and columns multiplying to get the coin value.
