I found this in a roll of pennies I got from my local bank recently.
Yes, I know pennies aren't allowed to go back out to the public, but this cashier at my bank is really nice & has no problem handing out pennies to me anyways...

I thought it was a nice enough coin in great condition to share some pics with you guys....enjoy

nice find, its always awsome to find a coin from a different country chr, I like the look of the trident

I didn't know banks weren't allowed to give out pennies, I get them all the time, the bank teller automatically asks how many rolls I want.

Most bank I visit say they are NOT allowed to "sell me pennies" anymore, but certain tellers at a few banks I visit don't mind.

So it's kind of a gamble to get rolls of pennies from the bank...

Here is a blurb I found about your question:

"The Royal Canadian Mint stopped producing the one cent coin last year, and now the process of rounding up pennies and melting them down will begin. The Mint estimates six billion pennies will be recovered"

Especially nice as Barbados has also abolished the penny, so these are not circulating there any more!
