looks like the people have spoken about what direction they want APCGS to go, SHUT IT DOWN GO AWAY FOR 6 MONTHS (hope we have forgotten about them ) and come back under a new name , if APCGS needs help with a new original name that is not a blatant effort to piggy back on the coat tails of a reputable TPG feel free to ask us on this forum as I am sure we can come up with something .

The real concern is how new grading companies will be able to detect counterfeits. Sure you can talk about inappropriate grading etc however let's put that to one side.

Take some of these articles for example:

http://registry.ngccoin.co.uk/news/

My question is, how would a limited experience grading company be able to detect such high quality counterfeits that are literally being churned out on a daily basis? These counterfeiters are learning how to improve their skills by reading forum. Even PCGS and NGC have been fooled by them.

Sure, you might argue Aussie coins aren't affected but the key word is "yet". Only a matter of time when counterfeiters figure counterfeiting Aussie coins can be profitable. Imagine high quality counterfeit 1930 penny, Adelaide pound and holey dollars. Cost of manufacturing a counterfeit coin is less than 10 cents. More for silver and gold. Scary times.

The quickest way to put an end to this is if PCGS or NGC set up one of their branches here.

This has already been discussed here on the forum with the owner of APCGS; I gave him a bunch of suggestions.

Well I haven't been here for a while sorry and only drop in now and then for a look and don't like to comment that much any more but I found this thread quite amusing to say the least
Now a link was put up on the first page to said company's guarantee so me being me just had to sussed it out and I know I'm a bit slow now due to my brain injury but if a coin is over graded isn't that a good thing so you'd keep your mouth shut about it if you wanted to sell it or have I got it about face and it's under graded that you'd keep quiet about Sorry just my Two Cents worth

I'd really love an aussie grading company if they'd do the job properly but it doesn't seem like this is possible so I think I'll be sticking to PCGS as just the name is enough to put me off and just sounds too much like they're trying to ride on the coat tails of a respected company And they say their grading is their own but it looks pretty much the same as PCGS to me
