Finally !.......after waiting a couple of months....my bank called and said my box of Halves will be there today about 3:00-3:30 !!...
I just hope I don't get the same result as the last 3 or 4 boxes which was zero......and then add customer wrapped rolls.....about 5 or 6 total boxes....again .....ZERO !!
Wish me luck and I'll report my finding tomorrow !!....(if I get all the way through them tonight that is)

I haven't looked in a while. Is Christmas a good time to get a box?

Stumped and beaten on a whole box.......YET AGAIN !.....I quit....I'm done.....
Apparantly, "my" goal is to try and see if I can search through $10,000.00 worth of halves and find ABSOLUTELY NO SILVER !.......

I've had it........that's it !

At least until next year......

JB...

I wish you'd order a Fed. Res. box from your credit onion there in South Carolina. Yeah, it costs $500.00, but once you look through the box, the very next day you can put the money right back in your account......so really there is never any "cost".
I'd be really curious if you could find any silver, or proofs, or NIFC's over there in your neck of the woods my friend !

By the way, I even found MANY halves with black magic marker lines on them......that doesn't bode well.....wish I knew someone who worked at the Fed Res. who could go WAAAAAYYYYY into the back of the vault and "dust off" some of the older boxes for me !...
Wouldn't that be sweet !

I have been tempted to get a box from the CU just to see what I would get. I just do not have a lot of time these days. It is on the not-so-short version of my "to do" list though!

I would probably spend the halves rather than return them. I would be tempted to pay my personal property taxes with them!

Today I went to 1 of the 3 banks that saves halves for me. The most I ever got was $40. worth. My teller friend said she just got a box of $300. in halves. I bought them all. Old rolls that had been rerolled with one new roll. Newest one was a 95 I got 6 for my collection and 6 upgrades no clad or silver thinking someone plucked out at least 20 or more clad & silver.

Seeking :A none picked mother load

Returned last week (1st) from 2 weeks in Florida and Alabama over the Thanksgiving holiday. Came back with over $5600. in halves, mostly bank boxes. My brother-in-law in Bama ordered 6 from his bank. All the rest were random banks along the way. I still have 6 boxes to search. I'm getting a few so far, but after going thru a box with NATA, except a '82P no FG, I'm not holding alot of hope for the rest. BUT, who knows? The silver can still be had; if your at the right place and the right time. I'll post after I search the rest.

Eaglefoot: Keep looking. Your ship is bound to come in.

I have two 1964 Uncirculated Kennedy half dollars. They are starting to show a little toning around the edges. Are they worth anything?
