Its apparent I'm new to here and I am sorry if I've posted in the wrong place.. I do collect coins but not any that are older than 1700 although I do have a few that I know are very old. However I have one coin that I've owned forever it seems like and throughout my life still have not found a single person that can help me identify the thing.
I have a few pictures of it I can take more if anyone needs me too. I'm not sure if its misshapen from time I'm sure it is but its strangely thicker on one side than the other which is why I'm assuming its very old as quality control wasn't great with some old coins.
OK so sadly once again I cannot post pictures on a forum.. Not the first forum and I'm sure not the last..... So I can post them currently on tumblr I'm not sure of the rules here so until I'm told otherwise I won't post them there or link them to here unless I know I'm not breaking a rule. Unless there is an old coin super genius that would like the pictures emailed to them?..
Again I'm sorry for being new and making mistakes.

The best way to upload photos would be to open a photobucket account, load them to photobucket, and use the links there to post the photos here.

I'm only hoping your joking about the penny? I'm sure I know what Penny's are I happen to own a few worth upwards of $500.. Anyways like a said I collect coins none that are ancient. I'm sure this coin isn't worth much and its worth more than a penny just because its solid copper and weighs about 9 or ten solid copper Penny's. Let me try photo bucket

Try using the upload feature here. Would need to see both sides of the coin. What I can say from your picture is that the coin is Kushan ancient Afghanistan circa 1st century AD. Would need to see the other side to say it it is. Here is a link about the Kushan empire. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kushan_Empire

The coin is worn so my best guess is that it's Kanishka I 120-150 AD.

Ha you guys are awesome seriously. I know it doesn't take much effort from someone who knows the trade but I'm a antique, gun, light, knife, newers coins kind of guy and y'all have made my day just using what y'all have given me as reference I've found so many coins online extremely similar and that is awesome for me. I'm a collector of many things and just because of y'all I might start collect older rare coins now because some of the stuff y'all have is very interesting :)

Glad we could help. Ancient coin collection is a fantastic hobby. No where else can you hold pieces that are a few thousand years old in your hands. And for the most part they are not very expensive. Your coin comes from and area that is just starting to be explored and studied more. Hope to see you with more ancient coins.

Cool coin. I have a very good example of your coin, that you might benefit from seeing. These coins are found in far worse condition then the one you posted for sure. Kushan Empire Kanishka I 127-151 AD 22.07mm x 8.15g AE DiDrachm ot 1/2 Unit ; s. 127 -150 AD Obv. Crowned, diademed king standing facing, holding spear and sacrificing at altar at left, Bactrian legend around: žAONANOžAO KA ... Neta;žKI KOžANO (King of Kings Kanishka Kushan) Rev.Goddess Nana standing right, nimbate, holding bowl and protome of animal, Bactrian legend left: NANAžAO, tamgha at right. Gold and Bronze issues of this coin were struck by this ruler.
