I really like this coin. What do you think PCGS gave it?

Not an expert on these but I will say VF-35. Not sure if it got a details grade or they gave it a pass - looks lightly cleaned at some point in it's past but could be the photo.

Cleaned with XF40 Details. PCGS might have it in a problem-free holder as a 40 or 45 but it's worth VF+ money to most people. It's a pass if you're looking for original surfaces.

The photos don't show the prooflike luster remaining in the protected areas and around the stars as well as retaining a cartwheel effect. It is bright in hand not dull like the photo. It's impossible to photograph pcgs slabs with my setup. Yes the fields show circulation, but I don't think it has been wiped, dipped probably but not wiped or harshly cleaned. It is in a straight grade holder.

The inside of the 8, the vicinity of most of the stars, and around the arrowheads on the reverse are such clear indications of past cleaning - given they're the only places showing it - that it doesn't take Heritage-level images to determine this one's a Details coin whether PCGS thinks so or not. Agreed with BH; XF Details. The perceived wear in some locations is balanced by the clear talon detail and sharp shield.

XF45. Guess I should sell this one rather than keep it. Tough to find these problem free, and this is a better date.

I have no problems with it. Eventually you will probably
upgrade it, this one will make a good down payment.

It's not so much the look of the rest of the fields - I'm not judging them at all based on one set of relatively small images. It's just that the *only* places where we see the "normal" darker color of a Seated dollar are in the spots where only a cleaning won't circulate. Even if it acquired perfectly acceptable patina and then circulated enough to clean off that patina, there would be plenty more color left than this.

It's a shame. This should be a $700+ coin.
