1881-S Morgan

Currently in NGC plastic, but would
like to hear any opinions here on CCF.

Haven't had a chance to attribute it yet,
feel free to give it a shot, as there are only a few VAM's for this date..

I don't feel comfortable grading it, but I would say MS-64? Super luster but I don't see a lot of detail in the cap. Beautiful coin. Wow that is amazing.

I'm not sure I've ever successfully attributed an 1881-S.

Lovely coin. Is that a hit on the rim under the first right star? I don't know what they thought of that.

Me, I'm seeing a coin with the technical merit of a 65 - even though there's some chatter on the lower cheek. Assuming the rim ding - or whatever it is - passed unnoticed (and I'm not going to factor it into my thinking here), I have it at MS65. NGC could have gone 64, but I hope they called it 64+ for just a really appealing coin.

Man, I must be begging to think like SD. This is the second time in as many days where I was going to say the exact same thing as him. But with less of an explanation of how I got there

I'm feeling a 65. This one is a really nice one, lots of nice cartwheel luster.

What's the pricetag on this one?

I will say 64. Good looking coin. Would the small ding at 8 o'clock on the reverse have any effect on grade or value in this case?

Ms 66? Wow. I guess they couldn't see the coin through the luster!
