Okay, I've been searching through a few hundred (so far) wheaties from my LCS and don't think I've found any doubled dies yet. I am completely new at this though and have a question about this 1940 s below. I know the marks on the letters are hits, but does it look like there is (or could be) thickness to the dots and the bottom of the legend? And the wheat shafts? When I read on coppercoins something like "slight thickness to the legend" it drives me crazy because at this point I don't know if I'd recognize extreme thickness. Am I on the right track? Any help appreciated.

Not a DDR. Looks like PMD (post mint damage).

I see the elongated dots but it is not a DDR. Looks like a worn die to me.

I think Patrick Star gave the correct answer to this question when asked by Squidward a question about something else.

Maybe it's the angle but it looks like the eye has taken a hit and is shorter. The mint mark does look interesting. Have you checked rpm's on coppercoins.com
