I've read all that, I'm just interested in where I fit in. There hasn't been an update on my profile since it was originally announced. Nor, have I received any enlightenment from my rep.
After all... it was all to be announced on Canada Day.

Ok this has just gotten stupid.
Last week, I was a few hundred dollars away from Platinum (even though a month ago I was Platinum). Now my spending is zero and I need to spend a $2000 to get to Platinum?!
Ya know what? Not gonna happen.
Had I known, I would have spent the few hundred to get to Platinum and at least gotten a 'free' box. As it is now, I'm inclined to spend nothing.
And my rep either dropped me, quit, or moved to another department. Got an e-mail this AM about the Haida coins from someone completely new Can't tell if it's a man or a woman and don't know if they are my new rep or not. Feeling really special lol.

Can't tell if they're male or female? Doesn't it say their name? Didn't your rep have a direct phone number you could call?

Does it say this?
"You are $2,000.00 away from renewing your PLATINUM Membership for next program year!"
I'm sure that is because as of July 1st, all members start at zero again. If you spend $2000 in the next year, you maintain the same status. You probably don't have to worry until next year.

The difference is that yesterday I was a few hundred away from Platinum and the information I was sent (via e-mail) said if I reached the next level in the current year, I would receive the benefits of the new level. So yesterday, I needed to spend a few hundred to get to Platinum. Today I need to spend $2000. I guess I should have anticipated that they would reset the clock (and not have it a revolving 12 month period as it was in the past) but I think my rep also lost an opportunity to sell me a few hundred dollars worth of coins in late June. Not that he cares because he appears to have left the Mint. lol You are correct that my Gold level is valid until June 30, 2016. Edited by CC-Ottawa

Well, there is a chance that this is just a wording, small though. I would speak to customer service to clarify this.

Whatever amount you are at to be in gold tier will count towards platinum until July 1, 2016. You are likely still just a few hundred away.

I'm in exactly the same boat as CC Ottawa, but I still have my Rep for now! Foolishly believed that I could achieve Platinum status after the July 1 reset date.  Back to square one now with Gold status until June 30, 2016 and I need to spend nearly $1400 to maintain it for 2017. Not too big of a deal as my appetite has decreased significantly in recent months. Much of what I'm interested in is stuff I would rather see first hand and up close anyways. Still feel a little baited and probably don't need the fancy monogram box.

Whatever MC status you had prior to July 1st 2015, you carry for the next year. On July 1st, you are reset to zero and thence for the next year accumulate dollars towards your next MC status. Whatever the status achieved up to June 30, 2016 thence carries forward to June 30, 2017, with your status reverting once again to zero on July 1st, 2016, and so forth.
My rep also left. He sent out an e-mail saying there would be a temp until they have hired someone permanently. The temp has sent me the notice for the Haida coins. No complaints.
