This coin is approx 20mmx19mm - 1.1 grams and less than 1mm in thickness.

I think top picture should be rotated 180° (or maybe not)
I have adjusted the contrast, should make it easier.

"Less than 1mm thick" should be the giveaway indicator here: this is not an ancient coin.

It's actually Venetian, or perhaps one of the Venetian colonies; the number "12" in the exergue on the first pic is the denomination, 12 denari, also known as a scudo. I can't read the doge's name on this same side, but I believe it will date from the late 1600s or early 1700s. Similar to, but not quite the same as, this one on icollector.
