I'd say XF40 at best. Breast feathers pretty shot.

XF Details. The coin does look polished. Put the coin under magnification and look for hair line scratches that should be present if the coin was cleaned or polished. If you want to know what the hair line scratches look like, take a new 2015 penny and clean and polish the coin.

WOW, you guys rock! Getting ready to post a Indian Head $5 Dollar gold piece (if it was ever cleaned or polished, it was done pre 1970's). My grandmother had 2 of these and a $20 gp and she gave me this one in the 70's, I highly doubt she cleand it as she's the one that ALWAYS said don't alter/clean old coins and I took her advise...g'ma knew best!

The reverse polishing really stands out. All of the higher devices are flattened and the details have been polished off. The 21S is known for a weak soft strike but these details are not strike related

Also, your coin appears to be a 1921-S and not a 1921.
