Quote: This modern gold offering is not authorized by any bill, has an artificial value of $100 and is nothing more than a US Mint medal. Perhaps you do need to research the history of coins. Actually, the 2015 High-Relief 24K Gold Coin is authorized by law... I sat here at my desk hitting F5 until the website let me add it to the cart. I was done in 20 seconds with website delays. Of course I don't imagine these will sell as fast as the Truman RP dollar, but it's good the website worked without issue.

I am amazed at how efficiently the Mint's website worked. I was expecting to sit in a waiting room for an hour.

I ordered at 12:00 sharp and the ordering process took less than a minute. At 12:01 I checked my porch, it had yet to be delivered.

Given the markup on these, I think the mint should have drones loaded up and ready to deliver. We place the order and the drone should immediately take off to the delivery address.

I actually was a bit offended that they didn't have a free shipping option given the markup, but I guess an extra $4.99 isn't that much when you're talking about spending close to $1500 in the first place.

I've been flip flopping back and forth on these and I've decided to pass. It would be a grade and a flip for me but the bust factor is too high IMO. Congrats to those who added one to their collections.

The question is, if not already a member of NGC or PCGS, do you become one and then send this coin to get graded? Or just keep it in the Mint Set.

I can't pull the trigger on one $1,490 coin right now but hope to find a 68 or 69 slabbed piece for under issue price this fall. We'll see because $1,290 is the most I'm willing to pay for one.

I'm very surprised that 30k have sold that fast.
