Wow. I've completely surprised. I had my doubts that it would sell out. CSOTUS, basically it is sold out. However, they may become available from time to time due to returns, credit card problems, etc.

What the quick sellout tells me is the big boys were buying their max limit and speculators were the ones buying these. The price is too high for most casual collectors and most of the numismatists I know passed on it. Don't get caught up in the sellout hype, it's false demand. With gold most likely continuing to drop, these will be had for less than issue price after the dust settles.

I'm not surprised they sold like that, it's new, it's different, and I personally like it, to each their own. I'm just glad I got in at 12:01 today like some of the other members. Yes it is pricey and time will tell how it plays out, but in the end an ounce of gold is an ounce of gold.

i don't believe the hype not one bit perhaps the dealers are out in full force no way they could have sold 35K for 1500 a pop when gold is lagging doesn't make sense. propaganda machine is working overtime on this one

It's PF70 or bust. If you keep it in OGP or get a PF69, it's overpriced gov't billion. I can see 6 months from now when gold is below 1,000 people will still be selling these for $1,400 buy it now on ebay and when I offer $1,100 I'll get a nasty email back and they will never sell them for what they paid for it.

My only regret is that I didn't get 4, one for each of my children. Oh well the first grandchild will get lucky.

I don't think these coins are ever going to drop below issue price simply because they're gold and more importantly they have a great and classic design. The high relief is icing on the cake. Those who could have, but did not buy are going to ask themselves in a month, "Why didn't I see this coming?"

Well, it's not drone delivery, but I just got notified from the Mint that my coin has shipped.
In other news, I also just finally got the reminder e-mail I requested letting me know the coin was available for sale...

I had been debating back and forth whether to get one. Pulled the trigger and decided to get one this morning at around 11:15 CDT. My status was on hold, now says processing, so hopefully it goes out late tonight or tomorrow. Did anyone receiving a tracking number today know if your order get the "on hold" status also?

It was never even a real option for me. Not with four more C&C sets to buy.
