The spot on mine is to the right of his neck and hard to capture with my crappy camera.

All mine look really nice to the naked eye, (but my naked eye can't focus closer than 4-5 ft anymore :) ) but the camera shows hairlines in the bust, like it wasn't fully struck possibly, or spotting on the mirrors. Some had darker spots in the fields as well. If I thought for sure I would get a 69, I would send a set in, but that seems like a risk at this point.

Jacks obverse looks like it could make 69. Hope the back is good too

Here are some pics of the three I have left. All reverses look good, so only obverse shown. I shot them to show the marks well. They don't look this bad in hand. But you can see why I may not be sending any in. Last one isn't too bad...anyone have thoughts?

3rd one looks like a possibility! But to grade a 69 properly from pics is futile. Out of the 3 though that's the one to review with your loupe for sure

Imaging RP's is not an easy thing to do and grading from those pics is even more of a challenge. Most of the proof part of the image usually gets washed out or just has no depth. With that said I think you may be overthinking these coins...the last three look fine to me (again, the portrait is impossible to grade) As I mentioned before...you have to look at what lower grade coins are/will get...69 might be the top grade (like the EF SAC) but I hope not...we are not talking a regular PF dollar that you need a 70 grade to break even...this is a TOTALLY different product...think out of the box on this one This is the ONLY auction for a RP69 so far (includes OGP and medal)...dude sold three others as BIN's for $189 before deciding to let one ride....sold yesterday http://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-P-REVE...em1c55803457Soooo, that electron microscope visible spot that might get you a 69 shouldn't deter you too much I just wish there were some published POP's to go by....gonna check out my son's 5 sets today and see if they should take a ride to Sarasota with mine.

Quote: Oh no jbuck... stay out of the water! It's shark week and your in shark country! I like the beach, but I stay out of the ocean. I saw a shark a few years back. A baby, but momma could not be far behind! Back to the topic... My set was waiting on the table for me when I got home. Not much time to spend with it, though. A seven year old and a game console demanded immediate attention. Just glad I finally have it in hand. One down, three to go. The next one, however, is the most important of them all!

Hello, I have been lurking this form for a while and decided that it was time to join in.
I bought 5 of these sets (I bought one originally but got lucky and noticed them go on sale again around 8:30 last Friday and ordered four more). One of them has arrived in the mail already and looks OK, but obviously not 70 in my opinion.
I was wondering what you all thought about grading these sets. I am considering getting 3 or 4 of just the coin graded by NGC. However, the 5 coin minimum is a bit of a pain for me. Do you think that the early release designation will actually be worth the extra $5 per coin and various other additional costs like more shipping from sending more invoices in.
I was also thinking about waiting until all four of the C&C sets have been released and then submitting them all in for grading at once, but then obviously I can't receive the early release designation for all of them except Johnson.
I'd love to hear what you all think.

Corey. My personal opinion is that so many will be graded as first strike or special truman label that if you DON'T get the label yours might be overlooked. In the end, I think grading these won't be much over the value for raw simply because almost every coin I've seen has its flaws. Right now the premium is there but in the end, I think it will level out. If you think you have a 70 then definitely send it in, but don't be surprised if it comes back 68-69. Just my 2 cents

I see what you're saying CSOTUS
Although, I thought that you could get the special label for the coin anytime, just not the early release or first release designation. Am I mistaken?

I am unsure about the label (with the Presidents on it) but I am thinking that grading these, like mentioned before, may not increase the value THAT much (unless you are first to market like that guy who sold his MS69 for $320). I am still pondering grading these also although I will only have two of them. At the very least, if the value isn't that much greater, then the slab will keep my lowest mintage, key date for Pres. Dollars, coin protected better than a 2x2 would. Plus for all we really know it may increase the value we will have to see how others do once they get on the bay!

Quote: I was wondering what you all thought about grading these sets. I would not worry about grading them, but then again, I am not worried about selling them. You have to consider the total cost for grading, including shipping, insurance, etc. Then compare how much the graded coins bring versus raw.
