Found this at the bank I work at the other day. Usually I don't give newer coins a second look, but something about this one caught my eye. Sorry for the poor pictures, my girlfriend has the digital camera I usually use and won't be back for a week. I think these pics at least capture the doubling, however.

So is this a doubled die, Machine Doubling, something else? This isn't really my field of expertise so I would welcome opinions.

As you can see, both sides of the coin show some pretty strong doubling. Anyone who could shed any light on the type of doubling this is or any added value would be greatly appreciated.

Is the doubling on the date and letters on the front (hard to tell from the pics)? I don't know the value but definitely hang on to that, maybe it will end up being a rare error! Very cool find!

Yes, it's abundantly clear on the date and all the lettering on both sides of the coin.

Since there's doubling on both sides, I'm going to say it pretty much has to be from the coin being struck twice. The odds of both the obverse and reverse dies being doubled are pretty much infinitesimal.

Pics need to be better but looks like deteriorated die doubling aka worn die.
