The reverse of the coin shows an Athenian Owl, the AOE stands for Athens, I believe. I have never seen the obverse before, it certainly doesn't look like Athena. I hope I am wrong. The reverse has the Athenian Owl and the legend for the city. However the obverse is not one that I've seen associated with this type. I've checked several sources none show this obverse type. I've also checked several fake sites with negative results. At this point I can't say if it's real or not. Report this Post to the Staff
