There are apparently no limits to what people will do. I am still holding out hope for a half dollar in the Kennedy C&C set. I do not care if it is unique, I just want it there so they are forced to add a bronze medal to balance it out like the FDR set. I really wish the Eisenhower set could have somehow added a large dollar (even a beat up surplus circulated one) and bronze medal to the mix. Oh, what a heavy set that would be!

Well, phooey. At least I have my 50th Anniversary Kennedy 2014 Half-Dollar Silver Coin Collection to console me.

I should think the 2-coin 50th Anniversary clad set to go especially well with the Kennedy C&C. The plastic insert with the two coins is just slightly larger than the C&C.

I actually keep that set inside the 50th Anniversary Kennedy 2014 Half-Dollar Silver Coin Collection box. It fits perfectly and makes for a nice six coin set.

I went to a pretty large coin show today. I only saw two of the Eisenhower sets in the entire place and they were at the ANACS table to be graded. I did talk with one collector who said he sold two sets for $215 each.

The mint is called out to explain itself... http://www.numismaticnews.net/artic...-breeds-envyQuote: There is absolutely no truth to the contention that the Mint sold a total of 12,000 Eisenhower Coin & Chronicle sets to two shopping networks. We took 10,097 orders for 16,820 sets. As you know, no order was permitted for more than two sets and we took more than 3,000 orders for single sets And here I was confident that jbuck's was the only single order placed

"As long as a customer has proper payment and is not violating household order limits, we sell the customer the products he or she requests. We do not ask a customer about his or her intentions regarding the product. Once we mint and issue a product, it belongs to the customer to do with as he or she determines." Reading between the line here, I'd say that the mint is fully aware that many of the purchases were made by people for the retail networks.

If you had a chance to double or triple your money for the investment of 10 minutes of your time, wouldn't you do it ?
I expect most of them were bought to be resold. Just look at all the listings on e-Pay.
