Maybe it's just me but, no insult intended, I just cannot grasp the mindset that would make me order just one set when, just as easily, I could have ordered two. I then could have easily sold the second set to someone who didn't get a set AND sell it at just $120....paying for my single set AND giving someone a discount from market price Gain:.. no cost collecting ....... someone without a set has one Loss:.. ?nothing Just me thinking on a cloudy morning

A few thoughts/possibilities:
1. just don't want to do / have time for the extra work 2. think the eBay/PayPay fees don't make trying it worthwhile. 3. wouldn't know how to do that 4. rubs some individuals the wrong way
Personally I have a 2nd Ike set and some Trumans I want to sell but haven't made the time for doing so, so I guess I'm in the #1 camp.

Or the buyer bought 1 because the money wasnt an issue and they wanted only 1. Whatever the reason is, bottom line is that it's his/her money.

Quote: Hey guys, my ike medals have obv finned rims in front of and above ike... Very interesting. I'll double check mine to see if it's the same way. Quote: Maybe it's just me but, no insult intended, I just cannot grasp the mindset that would make me order just one set when, just as easily, I could have ordered two. I think there are two things that we can assume about 99% of the 3000+ people. First, they are in the know about what's going on with these sets and how difficult they are to get. Second, they're collectors (or someone ordering a friend/relative who is) and are not in it for the money. Whatever their motivations, I'm glad they go their coins and wish them continued luck in the future releases. Personally, I didn't purchase five of the Truman RP's when the household limit was five to make money. I purchased five so that I could use three as trade bait for the others which at the time were all going to have 17k mintages because I knew others would catch on. I was fortunate enough to get the Eisenhower, so will be selling/trading the others at some point in the future to enhance my coin collection. I'm debating how many of the Kennedy's to purchase given that the mintage has been raised to 50k. I still think the Johnson is a for sure winner with its 25k mintage.

I mentioned trading or selling with someone here who didn't get a set. I just did a similar trade with a member here because they didn't get a Truman...traded equally for an Ike

Foxwoods, the rims have minor finning between 9-12 o'clock on obverse. Best seen on the 3rd pic down Reno, this finning is too minor for that kind of premium. I'm not even sure I can get them into an error slab but I might try for $12 more

Well I brought 1 with me to a coin show to see if I could trade for a Truman. No luck, as I didnt see any truman's in the whole show. I only saw 1 person with any Ike's and he had 2. He was asking $210 each for them. One dealer, without me prompting to sell mine to him, saw mine and offered me $100 for it. I quickly said "thanks but no." I have a feeling that the dip in price right now on the bay is because of an over supply on ebay and is temporary.
