To me, there is no real reason that the Eisenhower Coin and Chronicles should be priced any less than the Truman (in fact I can think of a few reasons why it should be more such as Eisenhower being a coin president).

That being said, it may be the case that these Eisenhower RP coins are, on the whole, in worse condition than the Truman's and the market is taking that into consideration. This is certainly something that I think a lot of collectors will attest to.

This is still only a short term market that has only had 20 days time to set a price. I still think that given enough time, these too will rebound.

On another note, I sent my 2 Eisenhower RPs (one for an error designation), 1 Coin and Currency Set Native American Enhanced, and 2 Truman RPs into NGC for grading. Unfortunately, I think my Ikes are 69s, but I have some hope that one of my Trumans may be a 70 and perhaps I will get the error designation, that would be very neat in my opinion.

Whats the error? An Ike set I bought on ebay came in the mail today. It had a weird black line on it about 1/4 inch wide and about 1 and 1/2 inches long. I opened the case and blew it off. Underneath I saw an error. took it to a friend who owns 4 coin shops. He told me I have a strike through error. Its on the reverse in the statue's clothing.

Here's the link to my error coin. It seems to be a strike through.

Pics are kinda blurry but looks like you have a good shot at getting an error slab with that kind of deformation of the folds in libertys robe

And corey, I hope yours gets one too.

I actually sent 3 rp's and 1 medal in for minor strikethrough errors. But you'll have to wait for the unboxing to video see With the crappy QC I figure why not try to make lemonade out of lemons

Maybe this will help the set prices recover.

I would never use a debit card. Not enough protection for me.

Pretty sure that all this means is that the person at PCGS entered the medal into the system before someone else had a chance to enter a different coin. Total coincidence and probably happens all the time on two item submissions.
