This is my first time posting images for the purpose of grading - and it's proved more difficult than I thought it would be: wanting to show not just all the flaws, but the coin in its best light too, in order to get an accurate a grade as possible. This is LMC 1999 WAM I bought several years ago. I'm seeking opinions about grade - and would also welcome all and any advice on the pros & cons of sending a coin like this out for third party grading - with the idea in mind of one day selling it or putting it up for auction some time during my retirement - say 5 to 10 years from now. Thank you. I look forward to hearing your thoughts about this Lincoln Memorial cent. One note: the "dings" under LIBERTY are not so much dings as Shiney areas - if that makes sense..          |

Lovely and treasured LMC variety. I am not qualified to offer an informed opinion on grade ... high MS by my eye ... for sure the best 1999 WAM I recall viewing on the forum. Congratulations on having such a nice example. David |

Looks like a 64RD to me.
The reverse has some issues that may bring it down to a 63.

I have this one at around MS-65/66 RD. This variety is highly collectable in any grade, but high MS is very uncommon and brings a fairly hefty premium.
By all means get it certified! If you are planning on selling in the future, go with PCGS.

Thanks all, and thanks for the advice about PCGS. I was wondering, if it was advisable to have it certified, which of the two, PCGS and NCG, was the better choice.

I think this would be MS-65.

That is a stunning example of! That is treasure in itself. Usually they are banged up pretty good,heavily spotted, a lot of carbon spots etc etc. Yours is a solid 64+ with a chance to go even higher. Very well rounded coin,nice eye candy. Lovely coin, I am jealous.

I would say NGC would be better, but that's a just me. I agree that for resell value, PCGS is better.

I found one like this and had is slabbed, it came back 65RD. Your coin is just as nice as the one I found, even slightly nicer.

Thanks all again for your thoughts on grade and advice about certification - and for just looking at this coin. Its always been a favorite of mine because of what I see as its lovely eye-appeal. It's nice to hear others appreciate it as well.
