The Florida United Numismatists is host of the nation's largest coin show, held annually at the beginning of January. Over 15,000 collectors and dealers from around the U.S. and the world converge in the sunny climate for the first bellwether gathering of the year.

This year, the FUN show was phenomenal! One thing to consider. History shows that a tanking US economy leads to decreased prices for scarce coins. Example: Pay my high mortgage and feed family with more expensive groceries but my unemployment check falls short of the task. Better sell some high value coins to cover cash shortage! Deals will abound as this type senario becomes common. But are they really deals, if the firesale coin you bought makes further retreasts? I am very bullish on coins that, by virtue of increasing bullion prices, will always maintain value. Think about it and please share your thoughts.
