1723 Hibernia/Us Colonial Half Penny

Archraz Pillar of the Community United States 3499 Posts	Posted 07/29/2015 5:54 pm Hi everyone, I just picked up this 1723 Wood's Hibernia 1/2 penny. Although it does have some surface granulation due to environmental damage, there is no sign of active verdigris. While I am certain that it probably would make a details grade of VF, I know nothing of varieties of these coins. Does anyone have any educated guesses? In fact, on the reverse "Hibernia" side, the surface texture is barely noticeable. Honestly, I'm rather surprised that as a colonial it would be deemed an atypical example - it seems like I see lots of Britannia-type Connecticut half pence with surface troubles.
