This coin is up to 192.50 US. and it looks like a small beads nickel. He states he had a dealer look at it and confirmed it was large beads.

Agreed, small beads. Aside from the obvious large spaces between the small beads, if they were large there'd be a bead in the mid point of the two "II"s. Can't help but wonder if shill bids are occurring. http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...ts-1965-2015And what type of dealer? Poker, drug....?

This large beads is now up to 227.50 US.as he states but look at the picture. I emailed him to give him the heads up and he did not reply. I feel sorry for the highest bidder as he does not know any more than the seller.

Took me less than a minute to count the beads. 119. How hard is that? One shill bidder, one sucker. I do like how seller posted additional images to show how the beads line up with the Roman numerals, or something.

Notice under the Detailed Item Info a PCGS # is quoted, but PCGS website says no such certificate #. I don't get why a # is listed when the seller acknowledges it's ungraded....unless that's a way to get around ebay pulling the listing, assuming someone might have reported it? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/1965-5C-Larg...em2804bac425Edit to add: what a bunch of malarkey! "Coin detail information and example images provided courtesy of Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). All Rights Reserved."

Seller's response to my telling them it's not large beads. Stay classy, jste9450. Quote: . 2 others said the same thing. I contacted ebay myself and the listing was perfectly legit. Go troll somebody else and waste their time. You need a life. I found a coin and posted it on ebay. You take time out of your day to actively search for coins on the Internet then more time to message them then even more time to report anything that you don't agree with. Wow. Get a life. Lol

Yup, I got 119 beads too, small beads for sure. This seller's going to end up with one angry buyer!
kbbpll - That response was priceless! Time well spent I'd say...

Quote:That's the PCGS coin number, not a certificate number. http://www.pcgs.com/pop/valueview.aspx?s=170922 Okay thanks, so the PCGS coin number in your link relates to a 1965 Large Beads graded MS65 that last sold for $4,994. This seller had pumped his ad referring to the that same PCGS #. If I'm understanding that correctly......it's more than obvious that's not the same coin. There's been plenty of discussion on ebay policy and grading requirements --- is this an example of how unscrupulous sellers circumvent that, simply by falsifying the PCGS coin number? If so, it seems there's no means to report the listing to ebay because of limitations by the nonapplicable descriptions in the drop-down boxes.

I used the drop downs that lead to "other currency and stamp concerns", seems to me the most appropriate choice.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

Thanks for that DBM. I eventually found a drop-.down menu related to "third party endorsements" but ebay would have almost part psychic to understand that my selection referred to a fabricated PCGS grading. I'd expect their employees dealing with reports have a simple checklist and coin listings appearing to be graded by one of the approved grading companies get a quick check, check, check, and all is well. Are fraudulent ebay coin listings proclaiming to be graded coins relatively common or is this to become a newer trend? I don't know the answer but it always amazes me how scam artists operate and how they think they're so sly in getting around policies that are supposed to protect the buyer.
