On the small date the tops of 1 and 9 are at the same level." (One problem with this citation is that the pictures theyve put in the book exactly contradict the above. There are many things diagnostic but I find the length of the tail on the 6 to be the best indicator for me. coppercoins site has good examples to compare by. I just recently did a giveaway where you received a lge and sm date 1960-D for comparison. Nothing valuable but a good reference.
