Start counting down people....
Btw, should we have a poll going for where the price of this set will settle w/in 30 days (until the next release)?

Quote:The arguments to try and order through the mint, before buying off an ebay seller, like the one quoted above, make even more sense when you consider the US Mint sales page does not contain abrasive language such as: I emailed him asking if he won't hold my hand, will he at least dance with me?

Quote: Start counting down people.... I'm getting antsy! Quote: If you sell your set for $100 Ebay/PP will minus you right around $13 so you are still a significant percentage ahead Considering the trip to the post office, the time to post it on ebay and package it, etc, $13 is not enough of a motivating factor for me, personally. Quote: But I agree that it makes the seller come off like a jerk. True indeed. Quote: I emailed him asking if he won't hold my hand, will he at least dance with me? hahaha

What am I missing here? The web page for this set says: Quote:
Mintage Limit: None Product Limit: 50,000 Household Order Limit: 2
How do you have unlimited mintage with only 50,000 sets being made?

Ya, kinda ambiguous isn't it. But don't worry, it's Trumped by the "found only in this set" line in the description. Only 50k will be made, period

That's mint math! If the coin is not going to be available in any other products, then the mintage limit is in effect the product limit. As to why they don't just make the mintage limit 50k too, who knows? Sometimes a coin is available in multiple products, so you'd have to add up the product limits to determine the mintage limits. Of course if any of the products doesn't have a limit, then the mintage limit is None. Sometimes the mintage limit of one coin might in theory impact the mintage limit of another. Take the March of Dimes Proof Silver Dollar for example. http://catalog.usmint.gov/march-of-...oof-DM1.htmlhttp://catalog.usmint.gov/2015-marc...set-DM5.htmlIt has a mintage limit of 500k. It's available by itself and in the March of Dimes Special Set. Since the March of Dimes Special Set has a product limit of 75k and has sold out, the net effect at this point is that a maximum of 425k of the individual proof dollars can be sold. Look at it the other way around. Had 475k of the individual proof dollars sold, then only 25k of the Special Sets would be available which would in effect mean that the mintages of the Special Set dimes would have been 25k. OK, I'm glad that I could confuse, err, I mean help you.

Thanks for this info. I think there must a bureaucratic ( - the spellchecker tried to make "bureaucratic" into "neurotic") branch of the government whose job it is to make suggestions to compound the confusion in all their dealings.

I used $100 to make my math easier

I predict it will be absolute mayhem for the first 15 minutes. Then steady sales until it sells out in 45 minutes. However, if you really want one, I wouldn't wait too long.
