This is from the CCF glossary brockage - A brockage is a Mint error, an early capped die impression where a sharp incused image has been left on the next coin fed into the coining chamber. mikediamond Pillar of the Community United States 2739 Posts	Posted 09/03/2015 12:51 pm This is an off-center cent with a first-strike brockage of the reverse design on the obverse face. Since the brockage is aligned with the die-struck reverse design, it's likely that the brockage-maker was stuck to the obverse die and was therefore a die cap. I've seen many similar errors. Since it was struck way off-center, its value would be around $35. Error coin writer and researcher. Report this Post to the Staff
