The feature I am referring to is on the reverse, just below the steps. Three vertical bars, appear to be raised on the coin. Ideas please?!

That is Feeder Finger Damage to the die before it struck your coin.

This doesn't happen often, but no real interest in these at this time. (you might want to keep it though)

I see more than a few of these.I only keep them when they are severe and in nice condition.

If the lines are solid, it's most likely Feeder Finger Damage on the die. You can read more about it under the heading Die Scrapes here: http://www.error-ref.com/?s=feeder+finger.

If you can depress the lines with a toothpick, there's also a chance they could be linear plating bubbles.
