BUT! As I said before, it was about the coin to me, not the value(although I was impressed by the value). Vermontensium nailed it; people will pay a lot higher prices for material such as this coin which is not often up for sale. I wouldn't have a hard time believing that someone working on a Registry set or a CC gold set would cough up 40% over list for a coin that they've been waiting on for months or years. If they miss this one, when's the next one going to finally show up? Besides, when you're buying $20k coins, you're not likely in a financial position where overpaying by a couple thousand bucks is going to be any significant inconvenience.
