I like this coin and its design but I am in no hurry or rush to buy one.

Like all other bullion coins, this will continue to drop in price with spot AND there will be plenty to go around as the mint will make sure they make as many as possible.

i just bought one yesterday, still waiting to receive it. I like the design, although it would be interesting to see a colorized version, it could really make the kangaroo stand out even more.

I was going to get a few; but decided to wait after I found out this coin has unlimited mintage.

Which means, there will be flood of them.

I bought this one yesterday from my LCS. For a standard bullion coin, it is a very good-looking coin! I think we will see this become a bullion staple, right there with the Eagle and Maple.
Also, as a side note, I know there are many opinions here about whether to buy or to wait because of what may or may not happen with the price of silver. I'm not going to pretend to be smart enough to offer any legitimate direct advice for you, but I did want to point out what I have seen with physical silver here locally. Both of the LCS's that I frequent have continued to increase premiums, with the actual price I pay being more now than 6 months ago, even as the price, on paper (spot price), has gone down. Neither shop has 90% available and the shop where I bought the kangaroo yesterday, where I always find the best selection, has nothing except the Kangaroos now. I was shocked that they were even out of simple silver rounds.
Like I said, I'm not telling anyone what to do, but you might end up looking at the Kangaroos simply because it is what is available. At least it is a nice coin, even if it's your only option.

The airtites are 40mm. It's the same as the Silver Eagles.

I tried to order two of these boxes today, for my father,
but they were delayed with our supplier ... Three weeks out.

So going to wait another week ... Just to see what is happening.

I just received my coin today, I am impressed by the overall looks of it. the details look better in person than it does in the photos. I will most likely order a few more for a rainy day.

I just read on another forum that these apparently are coming out of the tube with milk spots already. I'll probably still get one but I really wish mints would take this problem seriously...

.......and the milk spots, or spotting as some dealers list now on their ebay listings like say MCM (who btw sold me slabbed spotted coins but didnt tell me and has a no return policy on bullion coins) are again an reminder of why it really is a waste of good money to buy a slabbed bullion coin as it automatically loses its value and price wit the spotting.

If you want a slabbed bullion coin, buy one thats already listed with the spotting on it to lessen the risk of the value going down.

I ordered two boxes of Kangaroo's, 500 coins, for my father today ....

It really is sort of crazy, we both like ASE the best .. But

If we would have gotten 500 Maple leafs, would have been
$600 more.

If we would have gotten 500 ASE's, would have been
$1400 more.

The ML's and ASE's were a couple weeks out, the Kangaroo's
were sitting there, ready to ship.

@GR58- I'd go with the Kangaroos, but I guess part of speculating with a big purchase is that it might be easier to unload larger quantities of ASE when the day comes and you are ready to sell (if you so desire to) at $50 an ounce. To me more is better especially with $600-1400 priemium

Thanks for the tip Lunch Money. I will look for the macaw! And no, I don't have a list Mister and have several I don't have on the map yet.

WOO HOO GR58! Congrats..... and at that price spread the Kangaroos look like real winners to me.
