Seems like I have read, they might offer a set of 5oz coins, once the series is complete. I wonder what the price will be on those.

I tried getting info out of them at long beach about what's next. I can be very persuasive in a charming way but they were acting like they signed confidentiality agreements. Very close lipped

Thanks for posting~!! I like that one! I have 1 of each of the nine silver ones, but only the first four copper issues. I am thinking I want to pick up the missing coppers and get that silver / copper display case to put them in.

I am not entirely familiar with the zombuck series but they seem interesting. Do you have a link to the other coins they released?

I ended up buying 5 display cases from Provident early on, and I've filled them with the silver and copper rounds. They should be completed sometime next month, finally!
I have noticed though, that of the 10 Walkers I own, half developed milk spots.

I must be the only one here who dislikes the Zombucks series. It ranks up there with my least favorite series, due to the fact that the original designers intended for the United States coinage to look prestigious and regal, and worked very hard toward this goal which I don't think anyone can deny. The Saint-Gaudens double eagle is a beautiful coin, and possibly the best gold coin design in the world. I know these "Zombucks" are only bullion, but I feel it makes a mockery of the old time designers and the pride they had in their work. I find this latest piece the most grotesque of the series, with Lady Liberty standing on a pile of corpses and holding a severed head in the foreground, while the U.S. Capitol burns in the background? Wow. How lovely.

I can see your point roll searcher but what about the audience that buys these? To me it's safe to say the target demographic is millennial that buy it or have a fascination for zombies and the walking dead. These millenials probably aren't interested or even know of the original coinage designs of the late 19th or early 20th century. I see it more as hopefully getting them interested in seeing what the real coin looked like and maybe buying a Morgan or Peace dollar to display along side their zombuck.

As with everything else .. if you don't like them .. Don't buy them. If you look back .. I am sure there are many times coins and/or coin designs have been used as art. Buffalo/Indian head nickel is a very good example. Edit ..forgot to say nickels made into Hobo's And here is a medal issued to Great Britain soldiers after WW1. It is based on the Crown, but instead of Saint George crushing a dragon it has a man on a horse crushing a German shield, skull and bones. (hard to see in the picture .. but that is the design).

I really like this new Saint design. I think I'll get this one myself. I don't own any of the others, but if they do start a 5 oz series, then I'm gonna be all over it. I absolutely love 5 oz rounds. They have a heft that is undeniable. Cool. Cool.
