While at my bank the other day, I asked if they had any large dollar coins and they had 8 Eisenhower's for me! Found 2 I needed for my album including 1974 D and 1978D, but the best find was a 1974 S Proof! Almost done with my album of Ike's, just missing a 1977 P and a 1978 P. Happy hunting all!

I was on the other side of town running an errand, so I stopped at a bank I had not been to in several years to ask for halves and Ikes. Lo and behold they had 2 rolls of Ikes (40 coins), so I bought them...All Cu-Ni bicentennial, but still fun to find

I was able to order and receive 500 Ikes. Nothing of interest to me in the 500-count bag except for 1 coin that may be MS. Regardless, fun to search!

It's cool that you are even ablate order them. I don't know if my bank will order me Ikes, maybe I will ask...

@Berto
The bank I used to get halves at could not order them for me. Were you looking for Friendly Eagle and other varieties?

Earle42, no, although I have accumulated several thousand Ikes at this point, I have not searched them for errors/varieties. Maybe I will make time to do so during the coming winter. Meanwhile, I will try to sell some to folks who would like to do so. :)

Hello, time to revitalize this thread...I was able to get a bag of 1,000 large dollars again thanks to my favorite head teller. The highlights were 3 Morgans, 1 silver Ike, 2 ASE, and 1 generic .999 round, plus 4, '73D and 2 '73 NIFC Ikes. This was my best bag to date, and will undoubtedly be difficult to beat. Remarkably, I already sold the remaining Cu/Ni clad Ikes for 25% profit. I am very satisfied! The teller and the other bank folks will receive several cookie deliveries in the future.
