While searching "junk silver", I found a 1963 Washington quarter in uncirculated condition. I remembered the three things to look for in a Type B Reverse: 1. A strong, pointed leaf tip. 2. The leaf tip extends over the arrows. 3. A small gap between the A and R in "Dollar".
All three of these are present on this coin, or at least I believe so. Do you think it is a Type B reverse?
Take a look at the following website for the diagnostics of the Type B. Two are different than your recollection, so more photos are needed yo be sure about yours. The E S in states and if the leaf touches the A in Dollar.
Thank you Pete41 and coop. I checked my coin and the leaf does touch the A. There is also a larger than normal gap between E and S of States. I will take pictures tomorrow. Thank you for the help.
