Is this worth anything ? The reverse picture makes it look a lot worse than it is in person, there's no pitting or corrosion, just surface goo that probably would even wash off,I don't know if it's a tool mark or scratch either ?

Nice! Too bad aboit the damage though. Do not see it listed here http://cuds-on-coins.com/three-cent-nickel-cuds/ . I'd bet B.J. et al. would be interested in putting it on the site.

Nice Retained Cud. Almost looks like a second one around 2pm too. I don't see it listed either. You could try an acetone soak for the crud, it may help some.

Do you think I should send it to get graded or is there no point to spend $100 on it(grading + shipping back and forth)

no point in getting it graded, the damage would get it a details grade negating the cost of slabbing

Even with the damage to the obverse, I would put it on cuds-on-coins.com. If toy are willing, please contact me through that site.

It is amazing that rev die is holding together. It shows a major crack through the wreath from 5:00 around to almost 12:00. Cracks branch off from it to the rim at 5:30, 6:30, 7:00 and 9:00 with a major Retained Cud from 7:00 to 9:00. As second major crack from the rim at 1:00 through the wreath to 3:00 that would probably eventually form another Retained Cud. There is also the possibility that the 7:00 to 9:00 Cud would expand to the 6:30 and 5:30 cracks. The obv also shows a nice crack from the rim up through the 1 and the tops of the 867.
