I would rather keep this thread focused on the finds posted on CCF.

I remembered I had another 1878 to post. This was my only seated coin found CRHing. I found it about 2 1/2 years ago in a MWR.

Nice! Fascinating that it made it through a machine like that... I wonder if the damage made it as light as a clad dime?

Just logged in to see where the thread stands and since no one has posted 1877 yet, here's my 1878 Morgan. The 3 tailfeathers showing up under the 7 are weak but with a 10x loupe I think I can make out 4. Maybe someone will have a strong, very apparent 7/8 with 5 tailfeathers showing up underneath the 7. On the "weak" variety of this coin the arrow shaft sticks out farther than on the "strong" variety and there is extra metal below the olive branch (left side of the pic, just above the arrow's top feather). See SeatedNut's post on this at the URL below.

Very nice! I have no problem with this topic becoming the 1878 Appreciation Thread.

I remembered that someone found a few Seated halves in a super box! Wish we had a way to dig into the thread for that 1877...

Oh, I have tried, but it is too big for my preferred method.

I think I need to try again though.

Not that there haven't been cases of people returning after more than two years
