Excellent finds for 1875, even if they are holed!

I agree. I would never buy a holed coin, but I sure would not toss one that I found!

I've considered getting a cheap holed Seated half from the 1840s or 50s for my keychain. I currently have a tiny 1843 groat (British fourpence) that has some sentimental value and also happens to have a hole, but it would be neat to have something bigger.

That is actually an interesting idea.

I found an 1860-1864 CN cent in a coin star last year. I doubt that'd qualify for the the 4 years if we are stuck on it. I'm pretty sure it's an 1860, 1862, or 1863. It's very crusty and corroded.

Once we get into the 1840's, we'll be struggling. I think the 1850's and 1860's can be definitely done by the end of this year, if not by the beginning of Summer '17.....when I'll be starting my first year of college o_o

Feel free to post that IHC in and when we get an 1860 posted, as a bonus. No different than what we do in the other HFBCWG threads.

Apart from the dates in the 1860s and 70s that participants have said they have, I know somebody (skibdib?) found an 1850 dime, and I think there are a couple others in the 50s. If necessary, Finn can quote the post with the five Seated halves again.

If this topic includes finds from bags off the coin machine, then I have 1855 and 1852.

I don't see why it wouldn't include those. I think we would all like to see your finds!

Thought to look at that post again just to see what dates the Seated halves were, and one of the Seated halves was an 1874, so we got that covered.

When the time comes, I also have 1869,1867, and 1864. Between all of us, we should get through the 1860s.
