I would buy a Nixon and a Ford if they put them out.
One, to have a complete set.
For Nixon ... I would agree he was a strange one .... His Bio is .. Interesting.
For Ford .... Was the first President I voted for. It was either him or Carter. Not much of a choice.
But still these men were president, and should have the same respect as other presidents.

I would agree, but there are three still alive that I believe are not worthy of respect. I'm sure glad the living can't be on US coins.

To come around back on topic... Since the Reagan set can stand on its own, like FDR in 2014 and Teddy in 2013, maybe we will get something extra in this set. Perhaps a bronze medal, like the two Roosevelt sets had.

You're right, GR, the US Mint may have declared that Nixon and Ford are not worthy of having Coin & Chronicles sets, but you can rest assured that the Mint will still push its chincy Nixon and Ford coin covers for $19.95 a pop.

Fun fact about Nixon. If I remember correctly, he is the only president to start his political career by answering a newspaper ad.

I still say if the mint was doing these sets they shoulda started in 2007. Like I said, it's weird to start such a set at the end of the prez dollar run.

TheForce will get no argument from me on the frustrations involved in the U.S. Mint adding new variations to a series midway through an established coin program. But that's business as usual for the U.S. Mint, right? 1). How about the introduction of satin finish uncirculated quarters in mint sets in 2005, after the State Quarter program had been running since 1999? 2). How about the introduction of San Francisco S-Mint uncirculated quarters in 2012, after the America The Beautiful National Park program had been running since 2010? 3). How about the introduction of reverse proof Sacagawea dollars in 2014, after the Native America reverse design program had been running since 2009?

Oh, and don't get me started about adding on the U.S. Territories at the conclusion of the U.S. State Quarter program. I realize the Mint was directed by legislation to include the territories, but my coin album took me through Hawaii and that was supposed to be it. BTW, I was at a flea market this summer and saw a brand new shrink-wrapped America The Beautiful National Park Quarter album from Littleton for only $5. I thought that was a good deal until I realized there were no holes assigned for the "newly introduced" San Francisco Mint coins. It's hard to be a "completist" when you're dealing with the U.S. Mint.
